Our Story

First, I praise the name of our Lord Jesus Christ giving me this great opportunity and privilege to give a testimony about how God is working in my life and the life of the church. At the same time, I wish to thank and appreciate First Baptist Church for providing us rooms for our worship service. They opened their doors so that we can serve our Lord together at 1550 Havana.

 

It has been 3 years that our church, the Myanmar Agape Church of Denver, has partnered with First Baptist Church. We have been serving and standing very well until today by the grace of God even though we faced many challenges during the 3 years. Most of our members are Burmese but when you look at the list of our church members carefully, you will see different tribes of people from Myanmar such as Ka Chin, Chin, Karen, Burma, and American worshipping together.

 

The Vision Statement of the church is “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19-20). The Mission Statement of the church is “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10; and 1 Timothy 2:4).

 

Myanmar Agape Church of Denver also has faced with many different challenges as many churches do but our living Father God raises and blesses us and lets the church growth not only with more members but also, He has met our financial needs for the past three years. Praise the Lord!

 

I know we will still face with more challenges in the future, but I do believe that God will be with us and we will overcome whatever challenges we will have in the future.

 

Therefore, it is very important for both of us to serve together in the future. I will do my best in continuously to be serving as much as I can with you. Thank you so very much and may the Lord lead you with His wills and blesses you more and more! To God be the Glory!
