We are a ministry that has called 1550 Havana home for over twenty years. We have been the recipients and givers of many blessings to our community as one of the longest active partners of First Baptist Church. Our Pastors Ernesto Morones and Abraham Fontanez have a combined ministerial experience of over 50 years. Our music ministry has been taking part in not only serving at 1550 Havana but also has served as part of a combined effort in ministering to two congregations in our community.

We have seen God move in our midst in many ways over the years and have also seen many people come to Christ through the evangelistic efforts of our ministry. We have members that come from different parts of the city but most of our members are part of the immediate community. One of our most effective ministries to our community was our food bank. We worked with Colorado Food Banks of the Rockies to provide food for the needy families of our community. Through this ministry, we saw many families come to Christ and many became members of our congregation. We used the church facilities to provide this service using one of the buildings owned by the church.
In past years we have seen the moving of God in the lives of our members through our evangelistic and discipleship ministries through training, family events and bible studies. We continue to see God do this today.
In recent years, our ministry has expanded our horizons by reaching out to needy ministries outside our borders. By being a part of the 1550 family of ministries. We have been able to provide a monthly offering to support two Pastors in Mexico, an orphanage and seniors home in Mexico. We’ve also been part of another ministry that provides food and clothing to orphans in the Dominican Republic.
Ministry at 1550 Havana as a ministry partner with the congregations that make up our partnership could not be possible without the help of our great God and the opportunity of having the facility that has been a part of this community for over 60 years. Our greatest desire as a ministry is to be able to expand our evangelistic efforts to reach every Hispanic family in our community and make the love of God and salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord known to all in and outside our borders.
